Dear Journal:

Had a minor breakdown in the lab today that ended with me standing on a console while swiping at pieces of equipment floating past me with a broom. I probably should have realized that the pipe I was sawing was a water main and not part of the Occipital Bypass Generator Yoctometre Neurotransmitter machine (OBGYN for short). But blast it all, I swear the pipes are made by the same manufacturer. They looked identical! I was soaking wet and half the equipment was ruined before I realized I could just fuse the pipe back up with pyrokinesis. Fortunately, no one was there to witness my unfortunate little faux pas, except the rats. You know they say you should always follow the rats on a sinking ship, although the rats in the lab seem to have mutated and become psychic, and most levitated out, which wouldn’t really help any non-psychics in a sinking ship-type scenario.
